Creamy Tuscan FROZN Pasta
Creamy tomato pasta with warm FROZN, spinach and sun-dried tomatoes — basically comfort food with the hard bit already done.
This is for the night when you want something properly cosy, but still don’t want to deal with raw chicken, chopping boards and the whole clean-up situation.
The sauce is creamy, tomatoey, garlicky and full of flavour from sun-dried tomatoes. FROZN goes in at the end, already cooked, so you’re just heating, slicing and finishing the meal.
It tastes like more effort than it is. Always the goal.
Ingredients
- 2-3 FROZN chicken patties
- 180–200g pasta
- 1 tbsp olive oil or sun-dried tomato oil
- 2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
- 2-4 tbsp tomato purée
- 80ml chicken stock or pasta water
- 60–90g sun-dried tomatoes, chopped
- 2 handfuls baby spinach
- Parmesan, grated
Optional
- Fresh basil
- 120–160ml double cream
- Optional shortcuts: Use jarred tomato pasta sauce instead of making the base; Use single cream if you want it lighter/ no cream at all; Skip basil if you don’t have it; Add extra pasta water if the sauce gets too thick
Method
-
1Boil the pasta in salted water until al dente. Keep a mug of pasta water before draining.
-
2In a pan, add olive oil or sun-dried tomato oil and butter.
-
3Add garlic and cook for 20–30 seconds.
-
4Stir in tomato purée and cook for another minute.
-
5Add chicken stock or pasta water, then cream, sun-dried tomatoes and parmesan.
-
6Let it simmer gently until creamy.
-
7Heat FROZN straight from frozen according to the pack instructions, then slice into strips.
-
8Add spinach & basil to the sauce and stir until just wilted.
-
9Add the pasta and toss everything together. Loosen with pasta water if needed.
-
10Add sliced FROZN at the end and gently mix through.
-
11Finish with black pepper, basil, extra parmesan and chilli flakes if you want.
Why this works
Creamy Tuscan-style pasta usually asks you to cook the chicken first.
Here, FROZN skips that part.
You still get the creamy sauce, the sun-dried tomato flavour, the spinach, the parmesan, the whole “proper dinner” feeling — but without starting from raw chicken.
Why you’ll make this again
- Cosy, creamy and actually filling
- No raw chicken prep
- Uses freezer + pantry staples
- Feels like a proper dinner
- Easy to make for one and save the rest, or make for two

This is the kind of recipe I’d make when I want something comforting but still need dinner to be easy. Sun-dried tomatoes do a lot of the work here, so don’t skip them if you have them.
