About Us

Why FROZN
exists.

I kept hitting the same wall. Long day, home late, genuinely wanting to eat something decent – and the only fast options were a takeaway, a meal deal, or nothing. Cooking from scratch was never going to happen at 8pm. So the quick choice was almost always the worse choice.

That’s not a willpower problem. It’s a supply problem. There just wasn’t enough food that was genuinely convenient and still made the way I would make food for myself. But FROZN actually started long before I ever thought about starting a food brand.

For years, I made these chicken patties for myself at home – chicken breast, carrots, egg, flour, garlic, salt and pepper. It was just something I naturally kept making because it worked.

I never really ate them as a “meal”. They were the protein part of whatever meal I felt like having that day – with rice, potatoes, in a wrap, next to a salad, with whatever was already in my fridge.

And that’s exactly how FROZN is designed now.

One useful part of the meal already done.

You decide everything else.

How it’s made

When I decided to turn that homemade recipe into an actual product, I worked closely with our co-manufacturer in Norfolk to make it scalable without losing what made me want to eat it in the first place – simple ingredients, proper food and the flexibility to build the rest of the meal yourself.

I come from a nutrition background, so I care a lot about what goes into food. But I also care about how it’s made.

I don’t think convenient food should automatically mean a long ingredient list or food that feels completely removed from what you would make in your own kitchen.

So we made some very deliberate choices with FROZN. Our patties are baked – not deep-fried. They aren’t breaded or dusted in starches or powders, and we don’t add any oils.

Why they don’t look identical

We also chose not to engineer FROZN into perfectly identical chicken discs. That means our patties look like real food.

You’ll see the carrot. You’ll see some natural texture. There can be slight differences in colour, shape and appearance from one patty to another. That’s intentional.

I’d rather let the ingredients look like themselves than turn FROZN into a perfectly uniform, heavily processed-looking chicken disc. And once you heat them, you get that proper garlicky smell, visible texture and a tender, meaty bite. I’ve always believed real food should taste like real food and look like real food.

The whole point

None of this means convenience has to disappear. That’s actually the whole point.

FROZN is fully cooked and lives in your freezer for the days when cooking the protein part of dinner from scratch just isn’t happening.

Take out however many patties you need, heat them straight from frozen in minutes, put the rest back and finish your meal however you want. A wrap today. Rice tomorrow. Potatoes and salad another day. The hard part is already done. The rest is still yours.

Because I never wanted FROZN to tell you what your meal should look like. I wanted it to make eating real food easier when life gets busy.
